Michael Ray Shaw plays the keys: piano, organ,
rhodes, and occasionally the accordian. As a child,
he spent Sunday mornings turning pages for his mother
who was the organist at church. Even though he never
learned how to read music, Shaw did pick up some
boogie woogie patterns from various sources. In high
school, he played keyboards in a garage band called
"The End" with Paul Hauschild and Tom Finnie. Then
during college, he began to dig deeper into the roots
of rock and "discovered" the blues. It's been a
process of discovery ever since.
